We are not a wellness company. We are a nervous system recovery project — and this is the argument we are prepared to defend.

Modern life keeps the body in a state it was never meant to hold for long. Sleep is thin. Food is stripped. Rest is scheduled around work rather than the other way round. The industry that grew up around this calls itself wellness, and sells calm as a consumable — a candle, a course, a subscription to your own relaxation. None of it touches the mechanism.
Terroir is the idea that a plant carries the conditions it grew in. Re-terroiring is the same logic turned toward the body: you cannot think your way out of a nervous system shaped by its environment, but you can change what that environment supplies. Give the body the compounds, the rhythm, and the rest it is missing, and recovery stops being a discipline and starts being a consequence.
It is under-resourced and over-stimulated. A body held in chronic sympathetic load is not malfunctioning — it is responding correctly to conditions that never let up. The work is not to fix the organism. It is to change what the organism is being fed, and how often it is allowed to rest.
The olive tree builds polyphenols because it must. Drought, heat, thin soil, sun. What the tree makes to endure is precisely what the body can use to recover. This is not metaphor — it is the same chemistry, moved from one organism to another by pressing.
Oleocanthal on TRPV1 receptors at the throat. The vagus nerve firing. COX inhibition in the bloodstream. Secoiridoids reaching the gut microbiome. Nrf2 and NF‑κB modulated at the level of the cell. Every claim we make is traceable to a pathway, and every pathway is traceable to a paper.
Polyphenols are measured in mg/kg. Supermarket oil often sits under 100. EFSA permits a health claim above 250. We publish the lab report beside the tin, unrounded, because a number you can verify is the only claim worth making.
We are working class. Olives are grown in hard conditions by people doing hard work. A tool that only reaches those who can already afford recovery is not a tool, it is a decoration. Accessibility is not our marketing position. It is the point of the project.
It is not a cure. It is not a protocol to be optimised, tracked, or scored. It is not an identity to purchase. We make no promise that a bottle of oil will resolve what a life has accumulated.
What we claim is narrower and more defensible: high-polyphenol olive oil acts on measurable pathways in the human body, those pathways are implicated in inflammation, cortisol, and autonomic regulation, and the dose that reaches you depends entirely on a number that most producers decline to publish.
You are not a project to be perfected. You are a root system to be reconnected. A fermentation to be tended. A nervous system to be re-terroired.
The thesis is only as good as its citations. The compounds are set out in A Radical Guide To Polyphenols. The peer-reviewed basis is collected in the evidence monograph. The lab reports sit beside each tin on the specimen catalogue.
Millennia of cultivation. Peer-reviewed science. Lived experience. Pressed into something you can actually use.
